AFRICAN DANCE. 121 E. Seventh St. Learn the movements of dance from Guinea, Senegal, Nigeria, Afro-Brazilian and Cuban regions with teacher Denise Hawthorne Bey, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesdays, and 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturdays. You'll also learn the intricacies of the music, and the traditional songs and their meanings. BALLROOM DANCING. Enjoy dancing at the Arizona Ballroom Company, 5536 E. Grant Road, from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday evenings. Singles and couples of all ages and levels are welcome. You'll start the evening with a 30-minute class, then dance the night away! You can also enjoy dancing to live music from 4 to 6 p.m. the first Sunday of the month. Cost is $5 per person. The Desert Terrace Dance Club presents a free evening of ballroom dancing and demonstrations at the Night of the Stars Show & Dance, from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, July 11, at the Windmill Inn Hotel in St. Philip's Plaza. See ballroom demonstrations from dancers of all levels, with general dancing throughout the evening. Admission is free, but advance reservations are required. TENTH STREET WORKSHOP. UA Ina Gittings Building. Tenth
Street Danceworks presents a three-week modern dance workshop
for teens beginning July 7 and continuing through July 25. Classes
will meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Workshop
participants will perform with the Tenth Street Company at the
