The Rocky Autograph Picture Show rolls into town from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15, with autographed Hollywood memorabilia and more on sale and exhibition. Cast members from High Chaparral make a guest appearance. Admission to the studios is $12.95 for adult Pima County residents, $8.95 for children, and $14.95 and $9.95 for non-residents. CLASSY COMEDY. Laffs Comedy Caffé. 2900 E. Broadway. The YWCA of Tucson presents the second annual Funny Women of Comedy Night at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 17. This hilarious evening of comedy helps to support the more than 8,000 people in Tucson who receive YWCA services through programs such as "Your Sister's Closet," which provides personal grooming and clothing supplies for job interviews; and the Women's Counseling Network, providing long-term individual and group counseling to low-income women. Admission is $35 ($25 is tax deductible), or $280 for a table of 8 ($200 is tax deductible). Call the YWCA at 884-7810 for tickets and information.
JUNETEENTH FESTIVAL. The Tucson community celebrates Juneteenth,
the holiday marking the circulation of the news of the Emancipation
Proclamation throughout southern slave communities, with events
Friday through Sunday, June 13 through 15. Bring the entire family
to Kennedy Park for fun, food, entertainment, arts and crafts,
and more. A fishing clinic is offered from 6:30 to 11 a.m. for
parents and children on Saturday at the Kennedy Park lake. Bait,
tackle, and instruction are free. On Sunday, there's a special
Father's Day celebration including a "gospel jubilee."
